field trip
Fun: Taking 70 eleven-year-olds, three teachers, and six homeroom mothers of a walking tour of the Jewish areas of the French Concession.
Not Fun: Spending the weekend grading aforementioned eleven-year-olds' homework assignments.
Middle-school midterms are around the corner; the high school journalism class has turned in their articles; my job shopping is about to begin.
I haven't told the kids yet, and won't anytime soon.
