morbidity

I've discovered that leaving your home country indefinitely is, at least from a legal standpoint, like preparing to die.

I've drafted a will, sent my dental records home, and will be giving my father power of attorney and making him the executor of my estate. I'm organizing my financial affairs and naming benefactors.

On the plus side, my international medical insurance covers all repatriation costs, which are normally quite expensive.

Repatriation is the return of my remains in case I expire while abroad.

Dad was very happy he wouldn't have to pay for that.

I am too, so now I'm going to go and carpe bean dip.
