Skipped out on the educational and enlightening tour of the Isla de Lobos in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
This island, as it turns out, houses 200,000 sea lions, not 20,000 (as I had mentioned prior).
I lost a bet about the matter.
I was too busy paying the debt over the bet to actually go on the chartered boat.
The delectable Dutch* boy (who I had originally met in Buenos Aires a few days before) felt badly about it. But I assured him that he was much more interesting than a bunch of fat sleeping animals.
After all, there are certain things you can do with boys that you can't with sea lions.
At least not if you want to live to tell about it.
*Or was it Danish?
