Yesterday before lunch, the kids were saying a prayer, and one of them actually chimed in:
"And please be with the poor people."
And then everyone repeated, as is the custom, "and please be with the poor people."
For emphasis: the slum kids, these adorable little gutter rats who live in shacks in or near a sewer in one of the most dangerous barrios in the third world, were praying for poor people.
Their reality is remarkable.
